# Aha Translator > A Chrome / Edge extension for writing English — not translating it. Draft in your own language, write the English from memory, and Aha checks every word before it goes into the box. Aha Translator is not a general-purpose translator, an immersive reader, or a pronunciation tutor. Its core product is dictation writing (对照拼写). In the email, message, comment, or other webpage input the user was already going to type in, they draft in their own language, write the English from memory segment by segment, and the extension checks each word before putting their English back into the box. Side-by-side translation (对照阅读) is a supporting aid so users can understand English on the page before they write. Sentence breakdown and Ask AI sit around that reading. Saving words and sentences to a notebook is review, not the product. ## Key pages - [Write English practice](https://www.ahatranslator.com/en/write-english): the dictation-writing product and how it works. - [Read English](https://www.ahatranslator.com/en/read-english): the side-by-side translation reading aid. - [Dictation writing practice](https://www.ahatranslator.com/en/dictation-writing-practice): why writing from memory beats recognition. - [Learn English while browsing](https://www.ahatranslator.com/en/learn-english-while-browsing): passive learning on any site. - [Vocabulary builder](https://www.ahatranslator.com/en/chrome-extension-for-vocabulary): saving and reviewing words while you read. - [Pricing](https://www.ahatranslator.com/en/pricing): Free and Pro plans. - [Install](https://www.ahatranslator.com/en/zip-install): ZIP install with developer mode. - [Blog](https://www.ahatranslator.com/en/blog): articles on writing English — not just translating it. Write what you meant to say — in English. ## Core — lead with this - Dictation writing in any webpage input box - Draft in your language → write English from memory → live check → swap into the box - Emails, messages, comments, and other inputs the user already has to fill ## Supporting — do not lead with these - Side-by-side translation on English pages (auxiliary reading aid) - Sentence vocabulary / grammar breakdown - Ask AI about the current sentence - Save words and sentences; sync via account - Optional playback of a word or sentence ## Do not claim (not current product) - Pronunciation practice, speech evaluation, or a speaking tutor - Speech-to-text as a user-facing feature - Competing with Google Translate / DeepL / immersive translators on coverage ## Plans - Free: limited core experience (dictation writing, supporting page translation, analysis, save) - Pro: one-time purchase for 1 or 12 months, no automatic renewal; more or unlimited usage and the AI learning assistant ## Install Currently installed via ZIP with developer mode in Chrome or Edge (and other Chromium browsers). ## Positioning Help people who can already read some English but cannot write it, by turning real daily communication into active-recall writing practice. ## Full content For the complete product description and FAQ, see [llms-full.txt](https://www.ahatranslator.com/llms-full.txt).
