1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Aha Translator Chrome extension and companion website at ahatranslator.com (together, the "Service"), operated by us ("we," "our," or "us"). By installing the extension, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Aha Translator is a browser extension for writing English — not a general-purpose translator. Its core feature is dictation writing: in any webpage input box (email, message, comment, or similar), you draft in your own language, write the English from memory segment by segment, and the extension checks each word before putting your English back into the box. Side-by-side translation and sentence analysis on web pages are supporting tools so you can understand English before you write it. You can save words and sentences to a notebook that syncs across devices via your account.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account, created with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Paid Access and Billing

Certain features require paid access. Pro is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription billed automatically by Waffo Pancake until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; you keep Pro until the end of the current billing period. Prices are shown at checkout.

Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, who acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. This means your order is subject to Waffo's own buyer terms in addition to these Terms, and Waffo — not us — handles your payment details, invoicing, and tax.

Purchasing again before leftover prepaid access ends does not take those days away — remaining prepaid time is kept and stacked with the new subscription period. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service;
• Use automated means to send an abnormally high volume of requests to the Service, or otherwise abuse or degrade it for other users;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of the terms of the websites you use it on;
• Attempt to circumvent any access controls.

6. AI-Generated Content

Dictation checking, translations, and sentence analysis are generated using third-party AI models and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for a given context. The Service is a learning aid and not a substitute for professional translation, language certification, or education.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its branding, design, and underlying software, is our property or that of our licensors. You retain ownership of the words, sentences, and notes you save while using the Service.

8. Third-Party Websites

The extension operates on top of web pages you visit. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content, availability, or policies of those third-party websites.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
